Club News - 31st August 2026North Area County League play-offs were held at Baldock Town Bowls Club on Sunday 30th August.Well done to our Baldock Boys for their win in the semi final against Stevenage, and their win in the afternoon in the final against Hitchin, who beat St Ippollitts earlier in the day. Our Baldock Belles won their semi final game against Howard Garden earlier, but sadly lost to Royston this afternoon.In the National Championships our Mike Parsons represented Hertfordshire in the Men’s Singles. He beat Isle of Wight 21-5 and Somerset 21-15 reaching the last 16 of the Country. He then lost to Sussex 12-21.In the Stevenage Mixed League we lost to Howard Garden 25-31 in a rain reduced match. In a friendly game we beat Luton Co Op 82-55.A brilliant event put on by Team Baldock - thank you to everyone for the excellent green, setting up the rinks, buying the buffet and everyone who helped with the catering, behind the bar and cleaning up afterwards. And of course all of the supporters who came along to cheer on their teams.Club News - 24th August 2026The National Bowls Championships continues at Leamington Spa with our club representing Hertfordshire in several events. Our Senior Four of Steve Budge, Paul Hastings, Martin Roberts and Paul Andrews continued their winning run. They beat Berkshire 19-12, Lincolnshire 17-10 and in the Semi Final it was 18-18 losing the extra end by one shot. Unfortunately our two juniors lost their singles games - Lorcan Saunders to Dorset 17-21 and Sam Andrews to Berkshire 14-21. In the Triples Aaron Heath, Sam Andrews and Darren Hickin lost to Middlesex 11-14. In the Ladies Pairs Sarah Berry and Julie Mutter beat Hampshire 20-12 but lost to Durham 7-23. Back home we won the Cairns Cup beating Stevenage 79-50. We won the Stevenage and District Knockout Cup Final beating Stevenage by 15 shots. In friendly games we lost to Hitchin 45-62, beat St Andrews, Biggleswade 46-37 and beat Buntingford 62-56. Finally in the Mixed League we beat Royston 61-33 gaining all 6 points. In the last 32 they beat Derbyshire 19-12, in the last 16 they beat Berkshire also 19-12. In the quarter final they beat Lincolnshire 17-10. Sadly in the Semi-Final against Durham, after a very close game 18 all after 18 ends they lost on the extra end, a stirling effort boys 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Last four in the country which is definitely something to be proud of.In the National U24s Singles Championship Sam Andrews and Lacan Saunders gave it their best too but sadly lost as well 👏👏Club News - 17th August 2026The National Bowls Championships are currently being held at Leamington Spa. BTClub News - 10th August 2026In the National Ladies Top Club we reached the last 16 in the Country before we lost by 2 and a 1/2 disciplines to 1 and a 1/2 against a team from Upminster in Essex. In the Letchworth & District Cairns Cup our A team lost to Howard Garden 78-79 whilst the B team beat Whitethorn 89-53. In the Stevenage & District Mixed Bowls League we beat Aston 55-43 gaining 4 points to 2. In two friendly games we drew with Welwyn Garden City 67-67 and we beat Letchworth Conservative Club 39-38. BTClub News - 3rd August 2026The County Bowls Finals were held at Bishop Stortford yesterday. In the Singles Final Mike Parsons lost to Harpenden 16-21. In the Ladies Pairs Julie Mutter and Sarah Berry lost to Welwyn 0-21. In the Triples Final Aaron Heath, Sam Andrews and Darren Hickin beat Harpenden 14-12. In the Senior Fours Steve Budge, Paul Haskings, Martin Roberts and Paul Andrews beat Buntingford 24-9. In an all Baldock Junior Singles Final Sam Andrews beat Lorcan Saunders 21-9. In the North Herts Triples League our ladies beat Stevenage 39-38. In the Stevenage Mixed League we beat Riverain 60-40 but lost to Holwell 42-52. In a friendly game we beat Sandy Town 66-64. BTClub News - 27th July 2026In the County Club Championship (3 fours) we beat Hoddesdon in the Quarter Final, Buntingford in the Semi Final and Harpenden in the Final. In all three matches we won on all 3 rinks. In the Hertfordshire Final of the Tony Allcock we lost to Welwyn and District 18-42. In two County League games we beat Hitchin 43-31 and Riverain 41-32. In the Cairns Cup we beat Letchworth 94-40. In the Stevenage Mixed League we lost to Datchworth on all three rinks gaining no points. BTClub News - 26th July 2026On Saturday after a great morning of bowling at Welwyn & District Bowls Club, which we saw the Baldock Town Boys beat Buntingford, they then went on to Win in the final against Harpenden to lift the Hertfordshire County's, Club Three Fours (Eversley) Trophy.CHAMPIONS 🥰🥇🏆. Club News - 20th July 2026This week saw the Hertfordshire Competitions Semi Finals where we were well represented. The following won - Mike Parsons in the men’s singles, Sarah Berry and Julie Mutter in the ladies pairs, Aaron Heath, Sam Andrew’s and Darren Hickin in the men’s Triples, and Sam Andrew’s and and Lorcan Saunders in the junior singles. They will all play in the County Finals and then represent Hertfordshire in the National Finals at Royal Lamington Spa in August. Our ladies and men’s Senior Fours also reached the finals where the winners will also go to the National Finals. In the Ladies National Top Club our ladies won the area final beating Sawbridgeworth 66-61. In the Country Top Ten our men lost by 3 disciplines to 1 to the eventual winners Buntingford. In the Stevenage Mixed League we lost to St Ippollitts and Royston gaining only one point. In a friendly game we beat Barton Le Clay 73-67. BTClub News - 13th July 2026We have Two of our players have qualified for County Semi-finals Mike Parsons in the Singles and Matt Undrell in the Unbadged Singles. In the County Three Fours we beat Ware by 103 shots to 23. In the Area Final of the National Mixed Two Fours we beat Royston 39-29. BTClub News - 6th July 2026In the final of the County Foundation Pairs Matt Hayzeldean and Harry Undrell lost to a pair from Kings Langley by 2 sets to nil. Our ladies team played in the County Top Club against Royston. Having drawn two disciplines each we won 68shots to 65. In the men’s County Top Ten we played Herts Watford and won by 3 disciplines to 1. In the National Mixed Pairs Aaron Heath and Leeann Higgs reached the Area Final by beating a pair from Royston 18-12. In two Stevenage Mixed League games we lost to Letchworth 32-74 and to Howard Garden 36-56 gaining no points. In the Men’s County Top Club we played Buntingford but lost 5 disciplines to 0. In the Ladies County League we played Royston and won 18-15. In the Area Semi Final of the National Senior Pairs Brian Todd and Mike Parsons lost 13-17 to a pair from Sawbridgeworth. Our Men’s Senior Fours of Steve Budge, Martin Roberts, Paul Haskins and Paul Andrew’s have now reached the County Semi Final where they will play a team from Garston. Finally in two friendly games we beat Fairfield Park 99-71 and drew with Steeple Morgan 40-40. BTClub News - 29th June 2026Our ladies played Buntingford in the National Top Club and won 3 disciplines to 1. In the County Eversley Competition we played Whithern and won 71-23. In the Area Semi Final of the National Two Fours we played Buntingford and lost 30-32. In the Area Semi Final of the National Mixed over 60 Fours we played Hertford and won 38-21. Finally in the Stevenage Mixed League we played Stevenage and lost 47-54 gaining 1 point to 5. BTClub News - 21st June 2026It has been a busy week at Baldock. In the men's County Top Ten we played Datchworth and won all four disciplines. In the men's National Top Club we played Hertford and won by four disciplines to one and the ladies National Top Club we beat Buntingford three disciplines to one. In the Foundation Pairs Harry Undrell and Matt Hayzelden have reached the Hertfordshire final. The following pairs have all reached the Hertfordshire Semi Finals:-Julie Mutter & Sarah Berry in the Ladies Pairs, Hayden Chambers & Paul Andrews in the Men’s Pairs, Aaron Heath & Leanne in the Mixed Pairs and Brian Todd & Mike Parsons in the Senior Pairs. In two friendly games we lost to Shephalbury 50-52 & beat Sandy Town 60-37. BTClub News - 15th June 2026In the National Two Fours both our teams have been in action. One team lost on an extra end 33-34 to Buntingford whilst the other team beat Royston 32-30. In the National Over 60 two rinks we beat Rosedale 40-25. Our triple team of Aaron Heath, Sam Andrews, Darren Hickin with Jamie Claydon (reserve) have reached the County Semi Final. In a friendly game we lost to Buntingford 54-78. BTClub News - 8th June 2026In the National Top Club we had an exciting match at Stevenage finally winning by three disciplines to two. In the Stevenage Mixed League we beat Aston 67-43 to gain all 6 points. In two friendly fixtures we beat Stevenage 70-54 and Langford 44-36. BTClub News - 1st June 2026In the National Two Fours Competition our two teams both progressed. One team won 41-26 at Royston whilst the other won 44-30 at Hertford. In the Stevenage Mixed League we beat Letchworth 59-42 gaining 6 points to nil. We then drew with Whitethorn 48-48 gaining 2 1/2 points to 3 1/2. Our team of Matt Hayzelden, Harry Undrell, Sam Andrews and Darren Hickin have now reached the Semi Final of the Hertfordshire Fours Competition. Finally, in two friendly matches we beat Fairfield Park 45-25 and Stevenage 51-38. BTClub News - 25th May 2026In the National Tony Allcock Over 60s Mixed Fours (where we were last year’s National finalists) we played Whithern Bowls Club. We won both rinks 37-25.We played two Stevenage & District Mixed League games this week we lost to St Ippollitts 57-66 and beat Whitethorn 51-39 gaining 1 and 5 points. BTClub News - 11th May 2026In a close Stevenage & District Mixed League game we beat Stevenage Town 56-53 gaining 4 points to 2. In two friendly games we lost to Luton 64-80 and to Potton 64-80. BTClub News - 11th May 2026In the last week, we played in the Stevenage Mixed League Knockout Cup against Three Horseshoes and won 91-45, whilst in the Mixed League we beat Datchworth 71-35 scoring all 6pts.In our friendly match with Welwyn Garden City, we unfortunately lost 83-79. BTClub News - 4th May 2026During the week we played two friendlies. We won 83-73 at Letchworth Garden City and 86-71 at Stotfold.This weekend we played Riverain in the SML. We won 55-44 gaining 5 points to one. BTClub News - 27th April 2026Baldock kicked off the season with a game against Knebworth in the Stevenage Mixed League.We won on all three rinks with an aggregate of 68-25 gaining all 6 points. BTClub News - 17th April 2026Dear Members,This weekend we have our first home game.On Sunday our President will field a team against our Captain team to commemorate the start of the 2026 summer season.The Club Competitions Draws will take place at 6:30 on Saturday 9th May.
